You may have heard the phrase “Do Not Pass Go, Do Not Collect $200” from the famous game Monopoly. The “Go” square is the starting point of the game, and after you move around the board once, you will pass “Go” as you start your second journey around the board.
I’m calling this blog “Just Passed Go,” because I have gone “around the board” once and I have “passed go” as I move on to the next stage. What do I mean by having gone around the board? I mean that I’ve gone through the various stages of life: education, single adult life, marriage, kids, divorce, adult children, empty nest. And this is where I find myself now – a man of Generation X age, free to figure out what comes next now that I’ve passed Go and am starting a new lap around the board. “Just Passed Go” is my metaphor for reinvention, setting new goals, changes in lifestyle, and my opportunity to focus on things that matter the most to me.
If you’ve also Just Passed Go, or share some of my interests, hopefully you’ll find this blog entertaining or be able to relate in some way. More features and functionality will come in the future, I’m just getting started here, so bear with me and have fun.

What is this? Oh, just an artsy shot of the shadow from a chandelier … I wanted some sort of visual for the Just Passed Go “About” page, but didn’t have anything specific to visually define this page. So I thought I’d just throw up something that makes you look twice, scratch your head, followed by hopefully reading this explanation.
